Ski hire Zermatt : Skiset 2013 collection
Just like ready-to-wear, our selection committees work a year ahead on the ski, boot and snowboard models the various equipment manufacturers will be producing the following year. All the skis on the market are analysed and tested according to Skiset's own protocol.
SKISET is launching the lightest Alpine ski on the market!
Wearing a pair of skis weighing an average of 5400g* with its binding is never a pleasant experience. This year SKISET is innovative once more and offering its customers the pleasure of skiing with Ultralight piste skis! Development of a ski that is light, with a weight saving of more than 1kg/pair (4100g/pair*), and high-performance, is a real technological challenge! During its development the Viva Ultralight had to undergo essential tests on snow and obtain the approval of the female specialists of the SKISET network.
What is a “ROCKER” ski? How does it work?
First and foremost it is a very easy ski to ski with, more recreational on and off piste.
Flat, the surface in contact with the snow is lighter than that of a traditional ski: the ski pivots more easily. Curved, the length of the edge in contact with the snow is the same as that of a traditional ski: the ski grips very well on turns too. On fresh snow the shovel lifts off more easily and the ski is more tolerant.
